Bodywork and Massage

Find a sense of balance and connection in your being

eco-somatic philosophy

The greatest illusion is that of separation

Massage therapist in the studio

Bodies have “different parts” but they are ultimately all connected and influencing one another. I believe one major source of pain and dysfunction in the body is from the loss of connection caused by overuse/underuse/injury/trauma/etc. I also believe wholeheartedly in the healing power of touch. Through receiving touch we can remember and reconnect pieces of ourselves that have become dormant or dysfunctional.

In my bodywork offerings I aim to dissolve the stress of separation. When you reconnect to your sensory awareness through intentional touch your body remembers the inherent ability to find homeostasis. My work targets fascia– the mycelial network of connective tissue that spirals through the whole body. I work intuitively with light to deep pressure to unwind tension patterns and offer space for expansion and movement to be reintroduced.

75 minute intake session

Your first session as a new client will be 75 minutes. It’s important to me to create enough space to get to know each other and have a thorough intake interview.

60 minute session

Returning clients can book a 60 minute session if you prefer either general full body touch, or more detailed focus on one or two areas.

75 minute session

Returning clients can book a 75 minute session to give space for both full body touch as well as detailed focus on one or two areas.

90 minute session

Returning clients can book a 90 minute session to create the container for slowness and deeper unwinding that isn’t always possible in shorter sessions.

You can park in the lot across State Street from the lobby entrance. Park in a clearly labeled “VISITOR” spot (NOT ALL PARKING SPOTS IN THAT LOT ARE FOR VISITORS). See the “VISITOR” spots indicated by green in the image below. To get free parking, bring your license plate information with you and fill out the form at the podium inside the lobby of the Herald Building. If there are no spots available, you’ll have to find street parking.
